A new and exciting theme every week for our littlest members of Take to the Stage! We aim to introduce the 3 main performing skills; Singing, Acting & Dance in the most basic terms through the use of fun action songs, story-telling, imagination walkthrough, simple dance routines.
The benefits of theatre are endless including building social skills, increasing attention spans, improving speaking and listening skills and building confidence. But most importantly it so much FUN for kids to pretend and use their imaginations to express themselves.

Our Stage 1 Junior theatre classes covers the performing arts including musical theatre, singing and drama. The students are taught the basic skills and techniques in relation to these disciplines. During these classes the idea of characterisation will be introduced to students in the most basic form with reference to facial expressions, movements and voice. Kids have the opportunity to create their own characters and plays as well as learning new songs and dances from famous musicals and films.
The benefits of the junior theatre programme are endless. With kids’ confidences soaring after only a few sessions and learning to work as a team with all of our group work activities. Other benefits include:
- Imagination and Creativity: making creative choices, new ideas, interpretation dramatic texts
- Communication skills: Improves vocal projection, articulation and ability to communicate ideas effectively
- Memory and Concentration; Memorising lines, songs and dance. As well as focusing in class and participating in different activities that use the mind, body and voice.
But for us the most important benefit of theatre classes is that they are FUN and a chance for kids to express themselves through many different drama games and activities.
Our Junior Theatre Stage 2 programme is the next step after our Stage 1 Junior theatre programme. The three key disciplines are explored in more detail and this class will have more focus on script work and creating your own work through devise and improvisation. The Junior Theatre stage 2 class covers performing arts including musical theatre, singing, dance, drama, improvisation, devise drama and physical theatre.
Kids have the opportunity to perform extracts from film and theatre, create their own characters and plays as well as developing skills and techniques in our three key disciplines singing, acting and movement/dance.

Friday 7:00-8:30pm
The Youth theatre classes explore the three main performing skills in great detail; Acting, Singing and Dancing. These classes provide tutoring in the skills and techniques needed to be a great performer and puts emphasis on students learning the skills necessary to create their own pieces of drama through improvisation and devise. Students will focus on Voice, Movement, Characterisation, Scripts and songs/dance from musicals and films. The benefits of our Youth Theatre classes are endless. Our students’ confidences boost within a week or two of starting classes and strong friendships are formed through group work.
Other benefits:
-Prepare students to be a part of a musical or play
-Key Skills and Techniques learned needed to be a Musical Theatre Performer.
-Communication: Improves vocals projection, articulation, diction and the ability to communicate new ideas
